This chelate—bound to the amino acid glycine—is recognized by the body as an amino acid, meaning it is only absorbed in the small intestine via amino acid receptors. This makes magnesium glycinate one of the most readily absorbable forms for horses, with minimal impact on the gastrointestinal tract .


Duval Magnesium Glycinate is suitable for horses that are prone to (muscle) tension , have difficulty relaxing , or need extra support after intense work. It's also a safe, readily available option for suspected deficiencies or veterinary advice.   • We recommend feeding magnesium not yearround for muscle support, but only for occasional use. Generally, if feed management is sound and you're using a supplement like Multipower or Green Caviar as a muscle supplement, supplementing with magnesium isn't immediately necessary.
