A well-functioning metabolism is essential for your horse's health. When metabolism becomes unbalanced, various symptoms can occur, such as decreased vitality, skin or coat problems, weight fluctuations, or reduced immunity.

These symptoms are more common in older horses , overweight horses or lean breeds such as Frisians, Haflingers, Fjords, Draft Horses, Icelandics and Shetlands.

• Algal oil DHA. DHA is the essential fatty acid omega-3 and is directly absorbable. Unlike fatty acids from oils like flaxseed and olive oil, the horse's body no longer needs to convert it into DHA. DHA can also be converted into EPA by the body. This is a plant-based source of omega-3 fatty acids that are readily available to the body. For horses with loose manure or irregular stools, Lithothamnium can help restore normal fecal pellets.

• Turmeric is a particularly potent antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties and is also said to improve insulin sensitivity and help with high blood sugar levels. Turmeric can support older horses by maintaining their natural defenses and stimulating their self-healing capacity.
